Parlor City Shakespeare Company is dedicated to creating engaging and entertaining classical theatre through the works of William Shakespeare and his contemporaries.
Our Experiences
Immerse yourself in the world of Shakespeare under the open sky with our annual “Shakespeare on the Plaza” event, held every September on the Parlor City Plaza in the heart of Bluffton’s vibrant downtown. Each production captures the essence of Shakespeare’s timeless work, infused with a fun and modern twist.
In May, join us at the Parlor City Brewing Company for Beers with the Bard, where we attempt to cram 3 of Shakespeare’s plays (from start to finish) into just 10 minutes each. Add in some of the area’s best locally brewed beers and music from Fort Wayne’s The Rag Tag Bunch, and you’ll be having a great time all while supporting the arts and local business in Bluffton!

Our Team
Meagan Matlock VandeLaar, founder
Meagan is an actor, director, intimacy choreographer, and teaching artist that originally hails from Zionsville, just north of Indianapolis. She earned a B.A. in Theatre and English from Purdue University (the one in West Lafayette), then went on to study at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts.
